The Phoenix Salon and Spa is more than a luxurious, full-service day spa and hair salon. We are a salon dedicated to enacting positive change…a salon where men and women can reach the pinnacle of inner and outer beauty…a Salon with a Cause. There is a warmth of spirit felt upon entering 1600 Arch Street in Philadelphia, evoked by the driving mission behind it.
Since its inception, the Phoenix Salon and Spa has aspired to set itself apart from the typical business model by creating a salon and spa that benefits causes, charities and important people in the community, with stories and missions that induce a call to action within us all.
For this reason, the Phoenix Salon and Spa hosts monthly events to generate funds for and awareness of causes and individuals close to the heart of the salon team. These events give salon staff, clientele and the public an opportunity to meet incredible people whose compassion, generosity, and perseverance leave a lasting impression in the minds of us all.
The monthly events educate us about volunteer opportunities and outreach programs within the community that we can all be a part of. Furthermore, the events personalize the people and causes within the community, no longer allowing us to look at critical issues in an abstract or detached manner. By connecting us with inspirational people who have battled great odds, we are shown a much deeper and more meaningful characterization of beauty.
In the words of salon owner, Sarah Keating, “To me beauty is driven by state-of-mind, and I am a firm believer that outward beauty is fueled by inner beauty. We are not a place that simply paints nails and blow dries hair. Our goal is to inspire our clients and to be inspired by them. We have been shown time and again, that we look and feel our best when we are all working together to effect positive change.”
